Today was the Black Belt test for Grace Dieb. She is 13 years old and has been training with Guy Mezger since she was 4. It was indescribable. A mere 3 hour rigorous, grueling, test of her mental focus, physical prowess in multiple disciplines, endurance, commitment, skill, agility, precision, to name only a few! It was breathtaking to watch and was such a wonderful example of why Rudog loves dedicated athletes. A living example of how hard work, sheer dedication and determination have a huge pay off at the end. Oh wait, this wasn't the end for Grace. She reached one goal. Many, many, more to come. She is off to a great start. The top picture is Grace (red helmet) actually landing a solid cross to Mr. Mezger. He said "thank you" with two wallops to the head. (See video below) The bottom photo is Grace sparring a 21 year old girl from 9th Street Gym in Garland. (see video below) Grace truly embodies the Rudog spirit. Way to go, Grace! Congratulations!
